It has been a while since I have been here, but today sounds like a good day to write. It is raining outside and I love a good storm. But the real reason I am here is to talk about my project. Today in engineering we turned in part of our innovation project. Basically the idea of the project is to build a car to transport the "cargo".
Before class we needed to build the car, test it, and do some written work. My team mates were not helpful on this subject at all. But today we tested the car. This consists of a starting line, then 20 feet away a large circle with a small circle inside it. The "cargo" that my team transported was 5 ping pong balls.
We get to test the car twice with time between for any changes we need to make. We tested the first time and the car only went 8 feet and a few inches. This made me and my team stress. So during the time allotted I took the car and without help again I basically rebuilt the car and modified it tremendously.
After a couple of practice tests we were not confident with the car but class was almost over. So I set it and let it go, to our amazement it had an almost perfect run. Landing 6 inches from the exact middle, the small circle has a radius of 9 inches. We went from the worst in the class to the best. In the end the testing of the car got a grade of 110%. My group thought it was just luck, but I think it was more.

Light Up the Sky
I was listening to one of my favorite bands, The Afters and I always skip to my favorite song by them before I listen. My favorite song is "Light Up the Sky". I had planned to write about this song but decided to be more spontaneous today. So I picked up my Bible and opened it up to a random verse. This is what I come to; Mathew 6:9-13.
9 "This, then, is how you should pray:
"'Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
10 your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us today our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one.
From here I started thinking. This is great. When I pray I don't have to list off, like I usually do. I can say this simple prayer and God will already know exactly what I am praying for and who I am praying for. Then I started thinking, did this verse come up because God is tired of trying to keep up with everything I say? Tired of listening through my list? Probably not, but this makes life easier on the both of us.
Even though I wasn't going to talk much about the song I listed above, here it is.
